The McLean Group’s Valuation Advisory practice provides valuation services to investment companies and their advisers regarding the valuation of investments in both equity and debt instruments of privately-held companies. Our valuations are performed in a manner consistent with the guidance laid out in the AICPA’s Accounting and Valuation Guide entitled “Valuation of Portfolio Company Investments of Venture Capital and Private Equity Funds and Other Investment Companies”, which includes best practice recommendations for complying with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 946, Financial Services—Investment Companies, and applying FASB ASC 820, Fair Value Measurement.
