William Stubbs

William Stubbs is Managing Director of The McLean Group’s Lafayette, LA office. He has represented principals in more than 260 M&A transactions in such industries as: oil service and production, healthcare, timber, communications, franchises, advertising, retail, food and beverage, distribution, transportation, manufacturing, sports, and hotel and hospitality facilities.

Mr. Stubbs also was the manager of a law firm specializing in middle market M&A, corporate finance, business formations and governance.

Mr. Stubbs holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a JD from Louisiana State University. He began his career with the Houston tax department of Ernst & Ernst in 1973. After earning his CPA, he launched his career as a Louisiana tax attorney in 1975.

An active member of the Lafayette and Louisiana Bar Associations, Mr. Stubbs has addressed National Business Institute and AICPA continuing education programs for Louisiana CPAs on estate planning and business transaction topics. He serves on several committees of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and also is a member of the board of directors of Goodwill Industries of Acadiana, Inc.
