vcardTom Swanson, a Managing Director in The McLean Group’s headquarters office, specializes in telecommunications, information technology, biotech and clean energy technology firms. His recent sell side transactions include: CAMCOM (sold to MasTec); Memphis Networx (sold to Zayo Group); Aberco (sold to Balchem), and Optima Network Services (sold to MasTec). On the buy side, he has represented Hewlett-Packard and Search Technologies (in its acquisition of Info Systems).
During his more than 25 years as a senior operating executive for technology companies, he closed more than 30 M&A and capital formation transactions. He also was the founder of a consulting firm that provides strategic business development to technology companies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Swanson advised Global 1000 enterprises as a Consulting Manager with Deloitte Consulting. He was an Executive Vice President of Global Sales for several premier Silicon Valley based software and data center companies from start up, through multiple venture fundraising rounds to more than $100 million in revenue, IPO and successful exits.
Mr. Swanson graduated from John Carroll University with a BSBA in Finance and the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business Executive Program.
