MCLEAN, VA (May 22, 2003) - The Ninth Annual ACG Mid-Atlantic M&A Conference and Capital Forum was held this week at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, attracting some 320 attendees from throughout the business world.

The two-day conference, sponsored by The National Capital Chapter of The Association for Corporate Growth, was attended by CEOs, CFOs, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, M&A specialists, accountants, attorneys and others, all interested in hearing lively case studies, market updates and panel discussions. Special keynote speaker Ed Mathias of The Carlyle Group opened the show.

Tony Cancelosi and Braun Jones of The McLean Group, along with Jon Korin of Northrop Grumman Information Technology and Keith Mendelson of Womble Carlyle, welcomed the large crowd, each giving a brief overview of what was in store for the attendees. Rod Buck and Herb Ezrin of The McLean Group and Potomac Business Group, respectively, co-chaired the new Capital Forum, a private equity showcase and networking event that was kicked off with a reception the evening before the conference began and was followed by an exhibition the following day that gave Conference attendees the opportunity to interact with leading private equity firms from around the country.

The goal of the Conference and Forum organizers was to design a program that would appeal to businesses large and small, high tech to manufacturing, commercial to government contracting, as well as to M&A and equity professionals of all types.
