Michael Lafferty is a managing Director of the McLean Group's west and mid-west offices covering San Jose, California; Reno, Nevada; Denver, Colorado; and Cheyenne, Wyoming. He also serves as in-house counsel for Bunning Bowman Ridley & Smith, LLP, a multi-disciplinary CPA firm, established in 1957, with offices located in seven states.

Mr. Lafferty began his career as a civil litigation attorney before moving on to estate and financial planning issues involving both domestic and offshore asset preservation strategies. He has represented businesses on a variety of issues, including the use of tax arbitrage and the use of cross and multi-jurisdictional venues in transactions.

He has been a financial planner and an investment advisor since 1997.

He has taught constitutional and business law as an adjunct professor since 2001 and has been a regularly published columnist for three years.
