Martin Raymond is a Managing Director of The McLean Group’s Halifax, Nova Scotia office. He also is a Partner of an independent accounting firm that provides accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a variety of small business enterprises.

Mr. Raymond’s area of speciality is the valuation of closely held small− to mid−size private business interests for purchase and sales transactions, corporate reorganizations and income tax restructuring. In addition to assurance services he advises business owners in business development, taxation planning, value optimization and exit planning.

Mr. Raymond previously held public accounting positions with Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton, and gained industry experience with Bowater.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). Mr. Raymond also is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and the Exit Planning Institute.
