Mark is a Managing Director of the McLean Group's Georgia office. He has more than 25 years of experience in business appraisal, strategic planning and market positioning, transactions, and litigation support, with a focus on value enhancement and exit strategy for privately held businesses. Mark has an additional 5 years of corporate operational experience as the former CFO of the franchising division of Hyatt Corporation. His industry experience focuses on lodging, hospitality and recreation, construction, bio- and e-tech, manufacturing (auto, home, equipment, and food), waste management, franchising, and services.

Mark is also a Principal in CapVal, LLC, which is an equity member of the American Business Appraisers, LLC. He previously was the Managing Shareholder of Dayman Lurie & Goldsbury, an affiliate of BDO Seidman LP, which specialized in business appraisal, value enhancement, litigation support, and M&A. He is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Mark is also a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the Vermont and Georgia Societies of CPAs. He is qualified as an appraisal expert in litigation matters in federal, bankruptcy, and various state courts. Mark has over 30 years of specialized service in the hotel and resort industry, with a focus on market positioning, market & economic studies, strategic planning, turn around and profit enhancement, and capital formation.

In addition to writing various articles over the past 15 years involving appraisal theory and application, Mark has also been a guest speaker to various users of business appraisals, including bar associations. Mark is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
