Lawrence Herbolsheimer is a Managing Director at The McLean Group’s headquarters office. He has been active in early-stage companies for the purpose of personal investment and board capacities. He also has assisted a wide variety of companies to gain financing through individual investors and large venture organizations with which he is associated.
Mr. Herbolsheimer has played a founding role in the formation of other businesses in which he maintains significant ownership positions and/or Board of Directors participation. He is Co-Chairman of the Comway Capital Group, Ltd., which is a holding company of 14 companies in China. He also is Director of a management company of third-party direct investment funds with assets in excess of $350 million.
From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Herbolsheimer was the CEO of United Pacific Holdings, Ltd. - a holding company for investments in manufacturing companies of China and other East Asian nations. From 1985 through 1991, Mr. Herbolsheimer served as the Deputy Assistant Administrator of NASA’s Office of Commercial Programs, advancing all high technology projects that had commercial potential. From 1983 through 1985, Mr. Herbolsheimer served on the direct staff of President Ronald Reagan in the White House.
Mr. Herbolsheimer graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1980 with an MBA.
