John L. Anderson is a managing director of The McLean Group and President & CEO of Anderson Capital Corporation, which is an affiliate of The McLean Group. Anderson Capital is an investment bank that focuses on the financial services industry, with an emphasis on residential and commercial mortgage banking company transactions. Mr. Anderson brings to The McLean Group more than 30 years of M&A and related transactions experience involving a variety of firms in the financial services, telecommunications, information technology, manufacturing, distribution, and natural resources industries. In the course of his career, Mr. Anderson has directly initiated, negotiated, closed and managed the post-acquisition integration of numerous transactions ranging in size up to $125 million and involving total consideration exceeding $500 million.

Prior to founding Anderson Capital in 1993, Mr. Anderson was the chief administrative officer of First Commonwealth Savings Bank, a $300 million institution based in Alexandria, Virginia. He joined First Commonwealth from Bethesda-based York Associates, a mortgage banking company for which he served as chief financial officer from 1986 through 1991. From 1979 through 1986, he was the Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning for UNC, Inc., a $500 million NYSE-listed firm.

Mr. Anderson began his Wall Street career at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and subsequently joined Wertheim Schroder & Company. Mr. Anderson earned his BA in Economics and Business Administration, then pursued graduate studies in economics and business administration at Adelphi University in New York City. He is a National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) registered representative (Series 7, 63).
