Joe Loughran rejoined The McLean Group in late 2006 after a four-year stint as president of YourNextCareer.net, a firm he founded to provide career transition and outplacement services to business professionals. He leads a team of associates in providing The McLean Group's investment bankers nationwide with the research and marketing support they require to serve their clients on sell-side, buy-side, capital raise and other client engagements.

Mr. Loughran holds a BA in English from Princeton where he was a NCAA All-American and world-ranked distance swimmer and the scholar/athlete of his graduating class. As a US Army officer for four years in Fort Huachuca, AZ, he edited a magazine, earned an MA in journalism from the University of Arizona and coached an age group swimming team on post.

After earning his MBA from Harvard, Mr. Loughran spent four years on Wall Street with Goldman Sachs, followed by three years as a freelance writer and consultant. He subsequently worked in political research on Capitol Hill before returning to business consulting on behalf of several small firms in the Washington, DC area. Mr. Loughran is a past president and chairman of the Harvard Business School Club of Washington, DC.
