Joe Loughran, The McLean Group’s Engagement Support Services Director, rejoined The McLean Group in late 2006 following a four-year stint as president of YourNextCareer.net, a firm he founded to provide career transition services to business professionals. He leads a team of analysts in providing The McLean Group's investment bankers nationwide the research and marketing support they require to serve their clients on sell-side, buy-side, capital raise and other engagements.
After earning his MBA from Harvard, Mr. Loughran spent four years on Wall Street with Goldman Sachs, followed by three years as a freelance writer and consultant. He subsequently worked in political research on Capitol Hill before returning to business consulting on behalf of several small Washington, DC area firms. Mr. Loughran is a former president and chairman of the Harvard Business School Club of Washington, DC.
Mr. Loughran holds a BA in English from Princeton where he was an NCAA All-American and world-ranked distance swimmer and the scholar/athlete of his graduating class. While a US Army officer in Fort Huachuca, AZ, he earned an MA in journalism from the University of Arizona.
