Jason Lewis is a Managing Director of The McLean Group’s Charlotte office. He also is a Managing Director with The Howatt Group, coordinating merger and acquisition projects for the firm's clients. Prior to The Howatt Group, Mr. Lewis served as President of Strategic Business Plan Consulting, LLC a management consulting firm specializing in strategic consulting and business plan preparations for small- to medium-sized companies going through a growth phase and/or seeking financing. The firm also assists clients with the preparation of Regulation D 504 and 506 Private Placement Memorandums and capital structuring.
Prior to establishing Strategic Business Plan Consulting, LLC, Mr. Lewis served a Managing Director of S&L Structured Capital, Inc. a boutique investment banking and financial consulting firm offering services in Commercial Real Estate Acquisition & Development Financing, Private Placements, Commercial Lease Origination, and Sale-Lease-Back Transactions. During his time with S&L, Mr. Lewis successfully:

Worked on multiple advertising and marketing campaigns focusing on the strategic placement of information, which would prove most advantageous to earning business for the company.

Managed the preliminary underwriting and project packaging of commercial real estate projects ranging from $500,000 to more than $1,000,000,000 to present to lenders and investors.

Developed private placement memorandums using the Regulation D 504 and 506 exemption guidelines to prepare a client company for the raising of capital using equity, debt, and derivative securities.

Constructed multiple business plans for companies seeking capital that are involved in commercial real estate, technology, hospitality, consumer products, and various other industries.
Before joining S&L, Mr. Lewis worked as an investment banker with Wachovia Securities. During his time with Wachovia, Mr. Lewis worked directly with senior management to provide asset-backed conduit facility underwriting and investment management services to clients in the financial services industry specializing in the origination of small business loans, commercial real estate mortgages, aviation leases, small-ticket equipment leases, and healthcare equipment leases.
Prior to Wachovia, Mr. Lewis worked for Arthur Andersen as a Financial Commodities Risk Consultant where he worked closely with firm partners and managers to provide management/process organization, valuation, and assurance consulting services to clients in the financial and commercial real estate investment industries.
Mr. Lewis graduated with Distinction from Virginia Tech earning a BA in Economics and a BS in Finance.
