James Hinkle is the Managing Director of The McLean Group's Oklahoma office. He has more than 20 years' experience working with owners of closely-held businesses.

As the Managing Partner of the certified public accounting firm of Hinkle & Company, PLLC, which he founded in 1997, Mr. Hinkle is an expert in business valuations, audits, individual and business taxation, and small business accounting. Mr. Hinkle has worked with many small business owners, advising them about the business and tax aspects of buying and selling companies.

From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Hinkle was President and COO of a $20 million advertising sales organization. From 1983 to 1994, he worked in the large, regional CPA firm of Baird, Kurtz & Dobson. His responsibilities included all aspects of auditing and business taxation.

Mr. Hinkle is a graduate of the University of Kansas where he earned a BS degree in both Accounting and Business Administration. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA). He also has earned the Accreditation in Business Valuations (ABV) designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Mr. Hinkle is a member of AICPA, the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Institute of Certified Public Accountants (NICPA).
