George Trappey

George J. Trappey, III, a Managing Director of The McLean Group’s Lafayette, LA office, has more than 30 years’ experience working with owners of closely-held businesses. A former tax partner in the CPA firm of Broussard, Poche, Lewis & Breaux, LLP (BPLB), Mr. Trappey is an expert in small business accounting, individual and business taxation, and business valuation. 

Mr. Trappey focuses on sell-side M&A transactions for the oil and gas services industry.  His recent deals include The Bayou Companies’ acquisition by Insituform Technologies, Inc.; Central Gulf Shipyard, LLC’s acquisition by Sneed Shipbuilding, Inc., and Angel Air Repair and Specialty Co., Inc.’s acquisition by Industrial Air Tool, LLP. 

Mr. Trappey holds a BS in business administration with an accounting major from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
