Richard Wait is a Managing Director of The McLean Group’s Reno office. He has more than 27 years of accounting, business appraisal, and business advisory experience, including substantial experience in investment banking and related transactions in the healthcare, distribution, manufacturing and professional services industries.

Since 1990, Mr. Wait has been the Founding Partner in a public accounting and management consulting firm in Reno. In 2003, Mr. Wait refocused his firm's efforts on business succession services, including family business transition services and preparing for the outside sale of private businesses. From 1988 to 1990, he was the CFO of a regional construction company. While a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mr. Wait has focused on business appraisal, strategic financial management and merger & acquisition (M&A) services for small- and medium-sized private businesses.

Mr. Wait is a graduate of University of Arizona and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). He speaks both locally and regionally on the topics of business valuation and business succession.
