Safran announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Advent International regarding a sale of its
Identity and Security business unit for approximately $2.4 billion.
Yahoo announced a large-scale data breach, which occurred in 2014, in which account information for over 500
million users was compromised. The breach is considered to be amongst the largest ever given Yahoo’s position
as one of the world’s leading email providers and may have significant implications for the company’s pending
acquisition by Verizon.
